Weekly Tasks
Here’s an example of a schedule designed to keep the house clean without taking up too much time on any one day. Feel free to adjust it to suit you:
Dust furniture, shelves, and wipe down surfaces like windowsills and light switches.
Wipe down sinks, toilets, mirrors, and other surfaces. Leave deeper cleaning for showers/baths to another day.
Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors in high-traffic areas. This should take no more than 20-30 minutes.
Change bed sheets and towels and do a load of laundry. Fold and put everything away.
Clean out the fridge, wipe down appliances, and mop the kitchen floor. This can take about 20-30 minutes.
Dedicate some time to scrubbing showers and bathtubs. Doing this on a Saturday ensures you’re not rushing after work.
With this schedule, you can keep your home in great shape without feeling overwhelmed, leaving more time to relax on weekends.
